Carol Conroy (Duerr)
 

Carol Conroy Duerr, age 76, a resident of Albuquerque since the 1950's died Sunday, November 8, 2015.

She is survived by her sons, Scott Bryan and Rob Bryan, both of Albuquerque, NM; brothers, Dave Conroy, Tim Conroy and wife, Mariellen, and Michael Conroy and wife, Susan; nieces and nephews, Wendy Conroy, Debbie and Tommy Conroy, Jonathan Conroy and Kirsten Dela Cruz; dear friend, Carole Tindall and other relatives and friends.

Carol was preceded in death by her husband, Travis Duerr; and parents, Thomas D. Conroy Sr. and Catherine F. Harris Conroy.

 
 

She was born in 1939 in Flint, MI and after attending school in Ankara, Turkey moved with her family to Albuquerque where her father was stationed at Sandia Base. Carol worked for American Airlines, AAA, Sandia Labs and APS. She volunteered for St. Joseph's hospital gift shop for many years. Carol loved dancing and enjoyed watching "Dancing with the Stars", the Dallas Cowboys, modeling, and traveling especially on cruises. Her love for animals included having several cats.

Cremation has taken place and a Memorial Service was held on Monday, November 16, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at Gate of Heaven Mausoleum Chapel, 7999 Wyoming Blvd. NE.

Should friends desire, memorial contributions may be made in Carol's name to ARCA Opening Doors or the American Cancer Society

Carol's family would like to express their thanks to the Presbyterian Doctors and Nurses for their love and care and a special thanks to Therasa Kendall for her compassion and care giving.
