Jon Hughes Allen
Jon Hughes Allen, age 74, of Winslow, passed away on Sunday, January 6, 2019. Jon was born in Idabel, Oklahoma to Milton Hughes Allen and Scottie Hope Montgomery Allen.
He is survived by his wife Diane, whom he was married to for 40 years; his four children, Collin, Rachel, Nathan and Sarah and their spouses; 10 grandchildren; his three sisters; and many other relatives.
Jon was in pastoral ministry for decades, serving the Lord in Arizona, California and Northwest Arkansas. He continued to be a minister of the gospel to the day he died, preaching his final sermon on Sunday morning.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, January 11, 2019 at Grace Church of Northwest Arkansas in Fayetteville. Interment will follow in Mt. Gaylor Cemetery in Crawford County under the direction of Beard's Chapel.
